Ingredients

1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup Sugar In The Raw
3 tablespoon good quality chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 1/2 tablespoon granulated onion
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon thyme leaves
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon cayenne


Preparation Instructions

Combine all ingredients, mix well, and store in an airtight container.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups

I used this rub on a slow cooked 8lb pork butt on Labor Day. Had a bunch of folks over for a backyard BBQ. The butt was a huge hit....the rub really added a wonderful flavor to the meat. Created a really nice brown crust.
