Ingredients
4 Boneless Strip Steaks 1-1/4 “thick
2 cups Coca-Cola Classic
¼ cup Tennessee Whiskey
Seasoned salt as needed
Black pepper as needed
Preparation Instructions
The night before you plan to cook combine the Coke and whiskey in a zip-loc bag. Add the steaks to the bag. Squeeze out all the air and seal the bag. Toss the steaks around in the bag occasionally throughout the marinating time.
Prepare the grill direct and hot. Remove the steaks from the marinade and pat dry. Season the steaks liberally with seasoned salt and pepper. Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes per side to your desired doneness. Remove to a platter. Let the steaks rest 2-3 minutes before serving.
Cooks Notes
To get the grill marks, use a cast iron grill plate and start the steaks at a 45 degree angle. Rotate another 45 degrees to get that classic diamond grill mark.

This steak was juicy and quite quite tender. I had the pleasure of tasting some that Dr. BBQ himself cooked for us. I must stay they were awesome!
